Troubleshooting
AI can't connect, a platform shows as logged out, a post fails — match the symptom and fix it fast.
Most issues come down to one of two things: the app isn’t online, or a platform session has expired. Match your symptom below.
The AI can’t connect / can’t find PublishPort
- Open the desktop app, go to Connect AI, and confirm the status is Local executor connected. If it’s still connecting or stopped, wait for it to reconnect, or quit and reopen the app.
- Make sure the AI has your current access address. If you regenerated it, the old address stopped working — update the AI to the new one.
- Try a different network (some corporate or campus networks block the connection).
A platform shows “not logged in”
- Go to Platform accounts and check whether that platform shows green Logged in.
- Click Refresh login status to re-check; if it’s expired, click Log in and run the flow again.
- When logging in, complete the login fully in the browser that pops up before clicking I’ve logged in back in the app.
The AI says a platform is “unsupported”
- That platform may not support posting yet, or it’s off the default allowlist. Ask your AI: “What can you do on this platform right now?”
- If it’s the allowlist, note that the “Allow platforms outside the list” toggle is off by default on purpose — turning it on carries risk, so proceed carefully.
A post fails or comes out wrong
- Ask the AI to show you the title and body it’s about to post, to rule out a content issue (like tripping a platform’s filters).
- Confirm the platform is still logged in.
- Open the platform’s app to check for yourself, and have the AI repost if needed.
The installer won’t open / is blocked
New apps without much download volume can trigger an “unknown developer” prompt. It isn’t a security problem:
- macOS: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.
- Windows: in the SmartScreen prompt, click More info → Run anyway.
Still stuck?
Describe what’s happening via Feedback in the app — include what you were doing and what the AI replied. It’s also worth re-reading How it works & safety; many questions line up there.
