Answer comments and DMs on X and LinkedIn
Every evening at 6pm your AI reads new replies to your latest posts on X and LinkedIn and your new X DMs, answers the questions in your voice, and sends you a list of who asked what.
Read https://www.publishport.app/skill.md and follow it to set up PublishPort for me, then set up a scheduled task that runs every day at 6pm: read new replies to my last 5 posts on X and LinkedIn and my new X DMs, answer the ones asking about pricing, how to buy or where to learn more, and send me a list of who asked what. The first time, show me the drafted replies before sending so I can approve the tone.
Before you start
The app is running and your platforms are signed in. Open the PublishPort app and sign in to X and LinkedIn under Platform accounts. New to the app? See Install the desktop app and Connect your platform accounts.
Step 1: Send the sentence above to your AI
Click Copy prompt and paste it into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenClaw or any agent that can run commands. To cover more posts, change “5” to a bigger number.
Step 2: Authorize with one click
The first time, your AI sends you an authorization link and a confirmation code. Open the link, sign in, check that the code matches, and click Authorize. Details are in Connect your AI.
Step 3: Approve the tone once
On the first run, your AI shows you the new replies and DMs it found and the answers it drafted. Tell it how you want to answer, for example:
For pricing questions, point them to the pricing page. For “how do I buy”, send the checkout link from my profile. Don’t answer support issues; list them for me.
After that it answers in the same way every evening. Change the rules any time by telling it.
Step 4: Check that the schedule is set
The sentence already includes the time, so your AI sets up the recurring task with its own scheduler and tells you when it runs next:
- Codex app: the task appears under Automations.
- Claude Code desktop: the task appears under Scheduled tasks.
- OpenClaw: it uses its built-in cron jobs.
- Other agents that can run commands: they use your system scheduler (cron on macOS and Linux, Task Scheduler on Windows) to run their own command-line mode, such as
claude -porcodex exec.
At the scheduled time your computer needs to be on and awake, with the PublishPort app running in the background.
What you get
- Every evening at 6pm, new replies to your last 5 posts on X and LinkedIn and your new X DMs get an answer, written to the person’s actual question.
- A list of who asked what, on which platform and which post, and what was answered.
- Anything you said not to answer, listed separately for you.
Keep it human
These are your own accounts, so replies should read like you: answer each person’s question instead of pasting the same line everywhere, and don’t push links in every reply. When something is unclear, have your AI list it for you instead of guessing.
