One short video a day on YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram Reels
Drop finished clips in a folder. Every day at 10am your AI picks one, writes a title and caption for each platform, posts it to all three, and sends you the links.
Read https://www.publishport.app/skill.md and follow it to set up PublishPort for me, then set up a scheduled task that runs every day at 10am: take one video from the "To post" folder on my desktop, write a title, caption and hashtags that fit YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram Reels, publish it to all three, move the video into "To post/Posted", and send me the three links.
Before you start
- The app is running and the three platforms are signed in. Download and open the PublishPort app, then sign in to YouTube, TikTok and Instagram under Platform accounts until all three show Signed in. New to the app? See Install the desktop app and Connect your platform accounts.
- Create a folder called “To post” on your desktop and put your finished vertical videos in it. Name each file after what the video is about (for example
3-minute-pour-over.mp4); your AI uses the name when it writes the title.
Step 1: Send the sentence above to your AI
Click Copy prompt and paste it into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenClaw or any agent that can run commands. To change the time or the platforms, edit “10am” or the platform names in the sentence before you send it.
Step 2: Authorize with one click
The first time, your AI installs PublishPort and sends you an authorization link and a confirmation code. Open the link, sign in (or create an account), check that the code matches, and click Authorize. Your AI then tells you which platforms are ready. Details are in Connect your AI.
Step 3: Check that the schedule is set
The sentence already includes the time, so your AI sets up the recurring task with its own scheduler and tells you when it runs next:
- Codex app: the task appears under Automations, where you can pause it or change the time.
- Claude Code desktop: the task appears under Scheduled tasks.
- OpenClaw: it uses its built-in cron jobs.
- Other agents that can run commands: they use your system scheduler (cron on macOS and Linux, Task Scheduler on Windows) to run their own command-line mode, such as
claude -porcodex exec, at that time.
At the scheduled time your computer needs to be on and awake, with the PublishPort app running in the background (it starts with your computer by default).
Want to see it work right away? Tell your AI: “Run it once now.”
What you get
- A new post on YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram Reels every day at 10am, with a title, caption and hashtags written for each platform.
- The three live links after every run.
- Posted videos move to “To post/Posted”, so the same clip never goes out twice.
It didn’t post on time?
- The computer was asleep or the app was closed: that run doesn’t go out. Once you’re back, tell your AI “post today’s video now”.
- Your AI says a platform isn’t signed in: sign in to it again under Platform accounts in the app.
- For anything else, see Troubleshooting.
